Eco Bungalow Village Stay in Ban Long Lao Mai

Trek through Laos verdant mountains, take in the splendor of the famous Kuang Si Waterfall and learn about Hmong culture. At the end of the day, relax in the privacy of your own bungalow.

This boutique clay lodge has 2 private rooms that each accommodates up to 4 people (a total of 8 people can stay in the Eco Bungalow at one time).

Each room has:

• King size bed
• Loft with 2 single mattresses
• Western-style bathroom
• Enclosed outdoor shower with hot water

DAY 1 – Kuang Si Waterfall & Dinner in The Village (L, D)

We’ll bring you from Luang Prabang directly to the famous Kuang Si waterfall, the start of your 2-day leisurely journey to the Eco Bungalow. The waterfall is a hidden oasis amidst a tropical jungle, its waters a magical azure hue from the fall’s limestone ledges. Here you’ll also visit the Bear Rescue Center, a rescue sanctuary run by a non-profit organization.

After lunch, you’ll go on a scenic 3-hour trek to the village of Long Lao Mai. When you arrive, your guide will give you a tour of the village. Introduce yourself to the local people, learn a few words of the Hmong language or get a pickup game of football going with the village children.

Later, feel free to unwind in the comfort of your Bungalow. Dinner is served on the sala outside under the stars, prepared by the villagers.

DAY 2 – Village Life (B)

Start off the day with breakfast prepared by villagers. Your guide will tell you more about Hmong culture as you spend your last day in Long Lao Mai. You’ll have all morning to immerse in Hmong culture – learn how to cook traditional meals, help villagers work in their rice fields or learn how to weave from masters of the craft.

You have the option of staying for lunch or returning to Luang Prabang after breakfast.
